Back To Top Concrete Restoration Is your staff aware of what corroding structural steel looks like? Despite the best efforts of concrete mix designers, concrete contractors, and waterproofing contractors, steel reinforcement bars, (rebars), are subject to corrosions. Rust spots in concrete tanks indicate a serious problem. Corroding steel in concrete is a highly expansive process resulting in cracks and spalls, which allow water intrusion into the concrete. This is a self perpetuating problem. Left untreated this problem can negatively affect the structural integrity of your exhibit. This is one of the most frequently ignored problems in water based exhibits.
